on
Tuesday, Oct. 13 in Pruitt
Hall. Match time is set for
7 p.m.

The UAH affair will close

UWA maintained the top spot
in the GSC East Division
with a trio of GSC wins last
week. The Tigers toppled
North Alabama last Tuesday
night before sweeping West
Georgia and Valdosta State
over the weekend.
Senior Jessica Crook was
UWA’s offensive catalyst
last week with a team-best
39 kills in the three
matches. The Ohatchee,
Ala-product turned in
three-straight double-digit
kill totals and paced the
Tigers in two of the three
matches. Crook averaged
three kills per set for the
week along with posting five
total blocks. Defensively,
senior Chanelle Esteban
provided a spark at the
libero position in the UNA
match with a match-high 19
digs. For the week, Esteban
was credited with 30 digs
after registering six and
five digs respectively
against UWG and VSU.
UAH (7-18, 1-3 GSC) enters
the match after dropping a
pair of matches over the
weekend to Puerto Rico-Rio
Piedras and Armstrong
Atlantic State in Florence,
Ala. The Chargers snapped a
17 match GSC losing skid
last week after downing UWG.
UWA will
have a quick turnaround as
it travels to Normal, Ala.
on Wednesday to face Alabama
A&M. The Tigers turned back
the Bulldogs, 3-0 earlier
this season at Pruitt Hall.
