Nathan Baker Named
Head Volleyball Coach At UWA The University of
West Alabama Department of Athletics has announced the hiring of
Nathan Baker as the 13th head coach in Tiger
volleyball history. Baker comes to Livingston after serving as
head volleyball coach at Tusculum College in Greenville, Tenn.
from 2006 -2007. He is a native of Phil Campbell, Alabama.

Arenz Takes Top Volleyball Post At Akron
University
of West Alabama volleyball coach Ron Arenz has been named head
volleyball coach at the University of Akron, a Division I school
in Akron, Ohio.

UWA's Nail
Earns All-Region Honor
University of West
Alabama’s Allison Nail has been named to the 2007 Division II
Daktronics All-South Central Region Volleyball Team released on
Wednesday. The all-region award is the second post season
achievement Nail has earned this year. She was named to the
First Team All-Gulf South Conference last week.

Ends Season at GSC Tournament
The
University of West Alabama volleyball team dropped its opening
round match to Henderson State 3-0 in the 2007 Gulf South
Conference Volleyball Tournament on the campus of Harding
University. The Tigers appearance in the league post season
event was the first for the program since the 2002 campaign.
