PENSACOLA, Fla. - The
University of West Alabama tennis teams fell
to BYU Hawai'i, 9-0
at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex
on the campus of the University of West
Florida Monday afternoon.
The Tiger
men, who came into the match having beaten
Mississippi College Saturday, dropped all
nine matches to NCAA Division II No. 14 BYU
Hawaii.
The West
Alabama women also faced off against a
ranked opponent, as BYU Hawaii entered the
match ranked No. 1 in the country. The Tiger
women also dropped all nine of their
matches.
“The men
and women played very well, but
unfortunately both teams lost to really
strong nationally-ranked teams,” Tigers
coach Rod Hartzog said.
West
Alabama returns to action Wednesday, March
28 in Pensacola, Fla. The Tiger men will
meet Georgia College & State University at
10:00 a.m., while the women face West
Florida at 2:00 p.m.
