LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama
Athletic Department has announced a partnership with Fox Sports 104.9 FM for the
2009-10 athletic year. A 50,000 watt station, Fox Sports 104.9 FM reaches UWA
and surrounding areas, including western Alabama and eastern Mississippi.
“We are very excited about renewing our partnership with
Fox Sports 104.9 FM,” said UWA Director of Athletics E. J. Brophy. “They have a
very strong station and are located right down the street. They do a great job
of broadcasting sports programming throughout our region and have a sincere
affection for our university. I hope all Tiger fans will program their radios to
Fox Sports 104.9 FM.”
UWA athletic broadcasts will also be carried on the
internet at athletics.uwa.edu. The Tigers first broadcast on Fox Sports 104.9 FM
will be the football season opener at Belhaven on Thursday, August 27 at 7:00
