LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of
West Alabama wranglers returned to action
this weekend, as they took part in the
Mississippi State University Rodeo in
Meridian, Miss. Entering the rodeo the UWA
women were fourth in the Ozark Region with
the men in seventh.
Chelsee
Watson placed first in the long round of the
barrel racing, while Lauren Hedrick finished
first in the short round of the goat tying.
Christi Heisman claimed a second place
finish in the short round of the goat tying,
as Sydney Bailey finished second in the long
round of the break away roping. Heisman
finished third in the average in the goat
tying with Hedrick in fourth.
Alex
Caudle finished first in the long round of
the calf roping, while Daniel Poole finished
third in the long round of the bull riding
and fourth in the average.
The
wranglers return to action on Friday, March
28, as they participate in the rodeo at
the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
The two-day event concludes on Saturday,
March 29.
