CASPER,
Wyo. – The University of West Alabama
wranglers Natasha Parker and Cristi Heisman
continue to post strong showings at the
Collegiate National Finals Rodeo at the
Casper Events Center. The CNFR concludes on
Saturday, June 21st.
Heisman, a
junior, has moved into fifth place in the
average of the goat-tying event with 24.0
after three runs. Parker is currently in a
three-way tie for 18th in the average in the
breakaway roping event with a 6.2. The
senior claimed the breakaway roping crown in
the Ozark Region this season on her way to
the CNFR.
The CNFR
is in its 10th year in Casper,
Wyo. at the Casper Events Center. The
National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association
crowns individual event champions in saddle
bronc riding, bare back riding, bull riding,
tie-down roping, steer wrestling, team
roping, barrel racing, breakaway roping, and
goat tying. National team championships are
also awarded to both men's and women's
