LIVINGSTON, Ala. —The University
of West Alabama men’s basketball team
returns to the hardwood on Saturday,
Feb. 2, traveling to in-state for
Montevallo. Tip off between the Falcons
and Tigers is set for 7:30 p.m. at UM’s
Student Activity Center and the People’s

The Tigers, still looking for that
elusive first Gulf South Conference
victory, enter the contest with a record
of 5-13 and 0-5 in league contests. UWA
dropped a 66-54 decision to West Florida
last Monday at Pruitt Hall. The Purple
and Gold Falcons, the pre-season pick to
claim the GSC East Division, come into

have two wins in conference games. UM
has wins over UAH and UWF, but are
coming off a 70-69 setback to Valdosta
State last weekend. UWA will look to
snap a three-game losing skid to the
Falcons of UM. The Tigers topped UM

Junior Kevin Johnson paces the Red and
White offense, averaging 10 points a
contest and the squad’s top rebounder

forward from Akron, Ala. registered a
double-double against UWF with 15 points
and 10 boards. UM’s Terrill Humphrey
leads the charge for the Falcons,
posting 17 points per game.
