looks to return to the win column, as the Tigers
(3-5, 1-4 Gulf South Conference) host West
Georgia for Homecoming 2008. Kickoff is
scheduled for 5:00 p.m. The game will be aired
on WZNJ 106.5-FM and will be streamed over the

West Alabama
enters the contest looking to snap a two-game,
losing streak after falling 27-14 at the
University of Arkansas at Monticello last
weekend. The setback to UAM extended two streaks
for UWA, as the Tigers have dropped three
straight conference games this season, but have
also lost eight consecutive road conference
games.
West Georgia
(0-7, 0-5 GSC) also walks into Saturday’s
contest looking to snap a streak. The Wolves
look for their first win of the season and bring
to an end an 11-game losing streak that dates
back to Oct. 13, 2007, a 30-28 win over West
Alabama in Carrollton.
The gridiron
series between UWA and UWG dates back to the
1983 season. Saturday’s game marks the 26th
meeting between the two GSC members with the Red
and Blue Wolves holding a 17-8 advantage in the
series. The two schools have played five times
previously for UWA’s Homecoming contest with the
Red and White claiming two of those tilts.
West Alabama
returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 1, as the
Tigers return to the State of Arkansas for the
fourth time this season to face Ouachita
Baptist. Kickoff in Arkadelphia, Ark. is
