LIVINGSTON, Ala. –
The University of West Alabama football team completed
its first two-a-day practice on Thursday afternoon, as
the Tigers gets close to completing their first week of
practice.
“It seemed easier than
our one day practices to be honest,” UWA Head Coach
Bobby Wallace said. “When you have a three hour practice
in the morning, that last hour is tough on everyone.”
UWA took to the field
early this morning in full pads for its first practice
of the day. The Tigers returned in the afternoon in
helmets and shoulder pads to wrap up its first
two-a-day slate.
“We did more team
practice in the morning with the full gear and went
mostly special team work in shells this afternoon,” said
Wallace.
UWA will work out
tomorrow morning, before taking the field for their second
two-a-day practice on Saturday.
West Alabama opens the
season on Thursday, August 30th, as the
Tigers travel to Samford. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00
p.m. Tickets are priced at $12.00 for all ages and can
be purchased through the UWA Ticket Office (205)
