LIVINGSTON, Ala. –
University of West Alabama football coach Bobby Wallace
announces two more signees to the UWA signing class.
The two additions bring UWA’s total
signing class to 24 student-athletes for 2007.
Rodney Ross, a transfer from
Mississippi Delta Community College, is a 6’3,
295-pound, offensive lineman. The Itta Bena, Miss.
native was named All-State his two years at MDCC,
including First Team his sophomore season. Ross is the
brother of UWA’s single-season rusher, Marcus Ross, who
rushed for 1,325 yards in 2004.
Jackson (AL) High School’s
Demarquis Besteda also joined the UWA signing class.
Besteda, a 6’4, 200-pound wide receiver, was named to
the Alabama Sports Writers Association’s 4A All-State
team and Most Valuable Receiver.
