Arkansas on Saturday, September 15 at 6:00 p.m. The
Muleriders' Wilkins Stadium will host the 24th meeting
in the series.
The series between UWA (1-1) and the
Muleriders (1-1) is one of the longest series in school
history for the Tigers with SAU holding the all-time
series record 12-11. Last season, the Tigers were able
to pull within one victory of Southern Arkansas in the
series, holding off the Muleriders for a 24-17 win in
Livingston.
Saturday's match-up will feature the top

respectively, in the nation. Three of the top 10 rushers

match-up. UWA's backfield duo of Cole Mason and Dusty
Gracie have gathered 191 and 174 yards this season and
sit second and third respectively in the GSC. Mulerider
quarterback Josh SanFilippo has totaled 152 yards on the
year and is ranked sixth.
UWA, which is coming off its first one
of the season, will look to continue not only its
winning ways against Southern Arkansas, but also the
season. The Tigers escaped with a 28-21 victory in its
home opener against Concordia College-Selma. The Red and
White drove 91 yards in seven plays for its game winning
touchdown and then intercepted a Hornet pass to halt
Concordia's comeback effort.
