LIVINGSTON, Ala. – With less
than two weeks remaining until the season opener on
Saturday, Aug. 30, the University of West Alabama
football team continues its fall practices in
preparation for Belhaven College.
“We are still working against each
other on the field right now,” UWA Head Coach Bobby
Wallace said after the Tigers practice on Tuesday
afternoon. “We will start concentrating and game
planning for Belhaven soon.”
The Tigers, which have been
practicing since Aug. 7, held their second practice
since the university reported on Aug.18.
“Things were out of routine
yesterday with school reporting and the guys were a
little tired, but we are improving every day and they
are pushing each other,” said Wallace. “That’s what we
want to see on the field.”
West Alabama’s opener is set for
7:00 p.m. at Tiger Stadium. Tickets can be purchased by
