LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama’s Garry Pack added to his post-season accolades, as he was named Honorable Mention to the 2008 Football Gazette and the D2Football.Com All-American Teams.

Pack, a senior from Hattiesburg, Miss., led the Gulf South Conference in tackles with 114, which ranked 16th in the country. He finished the season in the top five in six defensive categories for UWA this season. Pack was named a 2008 Don Hansen’s Football Gazette NCAA Division II All-Super Region 2 Teams, 2008 Daktronics All Super-Region 2 First Team member and Second Team All-American, an All-GSC First Team and was among the 24 finalists for the Harlon Hill Trophy.

West Alabama finished the season with a 4-7 overall record.
