TAMPA BAY, Fla. – Former West Alabama Tiger Lawrence Samuels has received another honor from the Arena Football League, being named the All-Arena Second Team, as announced by the AFL and the Tampa Bay Storm.

The 14-year AFL veteran has received several accolades from the league already this year. During the 12^th week of the season, Samuels, was named AFL Ironman of the Week for his effort against the Arizona Rattlers. The wide receiver/jack linebacker was also just named to the AFL All-Ironman Team.

A member of the Tiger football team from 1989-92, he helped guide the Storm to a 9-7 regular season record and a berth in the 2007 AFL Playoffs, while leading the team with 122 receptions for 1,143 yards and 15 touchdowns, while registering 38.0 tackles, one tackle for loss, and three interceptions for 38 yards.
