LIVINGSTON, Ala. –
The University of West Alabama returns to Tiger Stadium
for the first time in 21 days, as the Tigers (1-3, 0-2
GSC) host Harding University in a 7:00 p.m. kickoff on
the Livingston campus.
This marks the 13th
meeting in the series between UWA and the Bison (1-3,
0-2 GSC) with Harding holding the all-time series lead
at 7-5. Each team has held its own on their home turf
with the Tigers leading games played at Tiger Stadium
4-1 with the only UWA setback in Livingston coming in
2003.
Both teams enter
Saturday evening’s contest looking for its first
conference win of the season. The Tigers suffered two
setbacks at Southern Arkansas and at Henderson State,
while the Bison have dropped contests to North Alabama
and at Arkansas-Monticello.
West Alabama ranks
second in the GSC in rushing offense with 200.8 yards
per game. Cole Mason leads the ground attack, while
ranking third in the conference in rushing yards with
85.5.
Harding is led by
quarterback David Knighton, who leads the GSC in passing
yards and ranks second in total offense per game. The
Bison lead in the conference in passing yards per game,
averaging 273.5 yards.
