CATAWBA, N.C. – University of West Alabama linebacker Garry Pack and offensive lineman Jon Weinreich earned spots on the 2008 Don Hansen’s Football Gazette NCAA Division II All-Super Region 2 Teams.

Pack, a Hattiesburg, Miss.-native, was named to the Second Team, his fourth postseason accolade this season. The senior led the Gulf South Conference in tackles with 114, which ranks 16th in the country. He finished the season in the top five in six defensive categories for UWA this season. Pack was named a 2008 Daktronics All Super-Region 2 First Team member and Second Team All-American, an All-GSC First Team and was among the 24 finalists for the Harlon Hill Trophy.

Weinreich, a Pismo Beach, Calif.-product, was named to the publication’s third team. The junior played in 10 games in his first season with the Tigers, receiving an overall grade of 89-percent, while helping UWA rush for 1,780 yards on the year. Weinreich, who split time at guard and tackle this season, allowed one sack this year and was named All-GSC First Team.

West Alabama finished the season with a 4-7 record overall.
