LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The
University of West Alabama football team returns to
action on Thursday, Sept. 11, as the Tigers (1-1) return
to the State of Arkansas for their second game in six
days, facing Arkansas Tech. The game is the first Gulf
South Conference Game of the Week of the 2008 season.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and will be televised
on CSS.
The contest against Tech (1-1) is
the 15th meeting in the series with the
Wonder Boys holding a 10-4 advantage. This marks the
sixth meeting in Russellville, Ark. where the Tigers are
1-5 in the series.
West Alabama looks to snap a seven
game, road losing streak that dates back to Oct. 28,
2006 37-14 win at Arkansas Monticello. The Red and White
dropped a 37-27 decision at Harding on Saturday, Sept.
6.
Arkansas Tech enters the contest
also looking to return to the win column. The Wonder
Boys had a seven game, non-conference win streak snapped
in a 49-13 loss at Central Missouri.
Thursday’s televised game is the
first conference affair for either team. The game will
be aired on WZNJ 106.5-FM and also at athletics.uwa.edu. |
