NEWBERRY, S.C. – The University of West Alabama’s Garry Pack was named to the 2008 Daktronics All Super-Region 2 First Team on Tuesday afternoon. The All-Region Teams are selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

This marks one of several postseason awards received by Pack, a Hattiesburg, Miss.-native. The senior linebacker was named All-Gulf South Conference First Team and was one of 24 finalists for the 2008 Harlon Hill Trophy.

Pack leads the Gulf South Conference in tackles with 114, which ranks 16th in the country. He finished the season in the top five in six defensive categories for UWA this season.

First Team All-Region selections are eligible for the 2008 Daktronics All-American Team.
