LIVINGSTON,
Ala. – The University of West Alabama
women’s basketball team will host a “Think Pink”
fund raiser for breast cancer on Monday,
February 11, in the Tigers contest against North
Alabama. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
The UWA
women’s basketball team is accepting pledges for
every 3-pointer made in the game against UNA,
with all proceeds going to the Kay Yow/Women’s
Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Cancer
Fund. All fans are encouraged to wear pink to
the game as part of the NCAA “Think Pink”
campaign and those wearing pink will receive
free admission into the game.
UWA will
recognize breast cancer survivors during
halftime of the contest versus the Lions.
