LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of
West Alabama women’s basketball team returns
to hardwood action on Friday, Nov. 21, as
the Tigers (0-1) travel to Mobile, Ala. to
face the University of Mobile (5-2). Tip-off
is set for 5:30 p.m. The game will be
streamed over the web on the B2 Network.
UWA
dropped its season opener at Auburn
Montgomery, falling 70-60 in overtime.
Valerie Harris led the way for the Red and
White with 20 points, tying a career-high,
and nine rebounds. Harris was one of three
Tigers in double digits, as Omeshia Frost
posted 14 points followed by Danielle
Baldwin’s 11 points.
Mobile
snapped a two-game losing streak by
outlasting Alabama State 87-84 in overtime
on Nov. 19. UM is led by Danielle Goodly,
who averages 16.9 points per game, and
Sherri McIntosh’s 9.6 boards per outing.
Friday’s
contest marks the fifth meeting between the
two schools with UWA holding a 3-1
advantage, including a 76-75 win last season
at Pruitt Hall.
West
Alabama returns to action on Tuesday, Nov.
25, as the Tigers host Delta State. Tip-off
against the Lady Statesmen is 2:00 p.m. The
game against DSU is the only home contest
prior to the holiday break for UWA.
