LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of
West Alabama women’s basketball team looks
to earn its first win of the season in its
home opener on Tuesday, Nov. 25, the Tigers
(0-2) host #9 Delta State. Tip-off is set
for 2:00 p.m. The game can be followed via
live stats at athletics.uwa.edu. The game
will be also be streamed over the web on the
B2 Network.
UWA is
currently on a two-game, losing skid with
stumbles at Auburn Montgomery, 70-60 in
overtime, and at Mobile, 75-53. The Tigers
are led by Valerie Harris, who is averaging
16 points and eight rebounds per game.
Omeshia Frost is averaging 8.5 points per
contest, while Jenni Thomley and Erin
Courington are averaging six boards.
The Lady
Statesmen are led in scoring by LaMaesha
McAdory (9.3 ppg), Veronica Walker (8.4 ppg)
and Moe Bell (8.3 ppg). McAdory also leads
DSU on the boards with 7.9 per game. After
starting the season 1-4, DSU won two
straight to pull its record to 3-4 with wins
over West Florida and North Georgia over the
weekend.
DSU leads
the all-time series at 34-4. All four of
UWA’s wins have come under Tiger Head Coach
Amanda Marks.

Alabama returns to action on Friday, Nov.
28, as the Tigers travel to Dahlonega, Ga.
for the North Georgia hosted, Lady Saints
Classic. UWA will open the Classic against
host North Georgia at 6:00 p.m.
