LIVINGSTON, Ala. -- The 17th-ranked
University of West Alabama baseball team
returns to action on Saturday, April 26, as
the Tigers (39-9, 10-5 GSC) travel to GSC
East
and region foe West Georgia in a
doubleheader. UWA enters the contest ranked
second in the NCAA Division II South Central
Region. The series will be aired on
Y-104.9-FM and athletics.uwa.edu.
UWA and UWG have met 46 times entering the
weekend series with the Tigers holding a
27-19 record, including the last four.
The Red and White are riding a three-game
win streak heading into the contest with UWG.
The Tigers extended its streak in a 16-0 win
against Stillman Wednesday night. The win
was the third over Stillman this season.
UWG (28-20, 4-10 GSC) enters having lost
nine of its last 10 games. The lone win came
on Tuesday in a 10-8 win over North Georgia.
The Wolves have been swept in their last two
GSC series, suffering losses to Montevallo
and UAH.
The series concludes on Sunday, April 27,
with a scheduled 1:00 p.m. start.
