The University
of West Alabama
baseball team
remained in the
latest national
polls, as UWA
(32-11) to ninth in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Poll, but
fell to 11th in the PING! Baseball Poll.
The Tigers put
together a 3-1
record this week
with a pair of wins
over the University
of Arkansas at
Monticello and split
the weekend series
at North Alabama,
losing game one 11-5
and then rebounding
with a 3-2 win in
the night cap.
Southern Arkansas
holds the top spot
in both polls and is
currently riding a
20-game win streak.
Differences appear
through the next
four spots in both
polls. In the CBN,
Mesa State, Emporia
State, Barry and
Ashland round out
the top five spots.
In the PING!, Barry
sits in second,
followed by Emporia
State, Tampa and
Delta State. UAH is
30th in
the CBN Poll and
Ouachita Baptist is
29th in
the PING!
West Alabama returns
to action on
Wednesday, Apr. 22,
as UWA travels to
Stillman for a
mid-week
doubleheader
starting at 2:00
p.m.
