LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama baseball team received national recognition in the third collegiate baseball poll of the week, as the Tigers (37-9) are ranked 15^th in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll, released on Tuesday.

UWA, which was ranked ninth in the PING! Top 30 and 17^th in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Poll yesterday, finished 4-1 this past week and secured a berth in the Gulf South Conference Baseball Tournament in Millington, Tenn. The Tigers, which were ranked 2^nd last week in the NCAA Division II South Central Region, have clinched a spot in the conference tournament for the fifth consecutive season. The tournament is held at USA Stadium on Saturday, May 3 and continues through Wednesday, May 7.

West Alabama returns to action on Wednesday, April 23, as the Tigers host Stillman College in a doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled 4:00 p.m. The game can be followed via live stats at athletics.uwa.edu.
