UWA (29-8, 5-4 Gulf South Conference) opened the week with a sweep of GSC West Division foe Henderson State, but suffered a sweep at Valdosta State over the weekend, the first conference sweep of the Tigers since April 2005.

Southern Arkansas, a GSC West Division member, claimed the top spot this week in the poll, boasting a 29-3 record with 472 points. The Muleriders climbed from #4 last week to become the new top team. Sonoma State (29-3) remained in second with 456 points, as Mount Olive (36-4) fell from #1 to third with 446 points. Tampa (26-5-1) sits in fourth with West Chester (26-2) rounding out the top five.
