LIVINGSTON,
Ala. - The University of West Alabama baseball
team held onto its #3 ranking this week, holding the
honor alone, as announced by the publication Monday
afternoon.
There were no
changes in the top two spots in the poll, as Mount Olive
(22-1) remains in the top spot, receiving 480
points, while Gulf South Conference West Division
member, Ouachita Baptist (21-2) remained in second
with 464 points. Grand Valley State (11-1) moved up
four spots from eighth to fourth, with 438 points,
as Sonoma State (21-1) received 416 points in fifth.
Two GSC members
jump into the top 10 this week, as Delta State
stands in sixth and Southern Arkansas moves to
eighth. North Alabama is 30th, while
Valdosta State and Montevallo each received votes.
West Alabama
returns to action on Tuesday, March 11, as the
Tigers host Columbia Union College in a
doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
